Dr. Douglas R. Fraser, M.D., FACS is Chief of Trauma at University Medical Center of Southern Nevada and a proud member of the Department of Surgery. As Division Chief of Acute Care Surgery, he works closely with fellows, residents, students and staff on a daily basis to provide the best possible care to critically injured patients.
A graduate of the Acute Care Surgery Fellowship, he has been appointed Program Director of that same fellowship and works daily to improve patient care by training the surgeons of tomorrow.
Dr. Fraser also works for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as a tactical physician to provide support to the SWAT team and Search & Rescue officers. Dr. Fraser looks forward to growing the Division of Acute Care Surgery and providing Las Vegas and the surrounding areas with optimal care for all patients in need.
