Meet AMBER FUHRIMAN, ESQ.
Amber Fuhriman, Esq., belongs to a rare class of Nevada attorneys who is equally competent in both criminal defense and immigration law. She has helped numerous foreigners gain permanent residency and citizenship. And when her immigrant clients face criminal charges, she knows how to defend them to minimize the chances of immigration consequences.
To date, Amber has accrued tremendous experience both in legal research, writing and in the courtroom. She has argued in front of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco twice; and she has been victorious on appeal to the Board of Immigration Appeals. She has defended against a wide range of criminal offenses, including DUI, battery domestic violence, theft, robbery, possession of child pornography, and sexual assault.
Amber earned a bachelor’s degree in political science at Idaho State University before graduating in the top 3% of her class from Thomas M. Cooley Law School with Magna Cum Laude honors. Amber was also first in her class in two courses: professional responsibility and death penalty law. Amber enjoyed and excelled while participating in Cooley’s Moot Court and Mock Trial teams.
While still a law student, Amber trained for a career in criminal defense as a law clerk with the Washtenaw County Public Defender’s Office in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and then the Clark County Public Defender’s Office in Las Vegas, Nevada.
After graduation, Amber worked with a firm specializing in the Immigration realm for 2 years learning the intricacies of immigration law, particularly focusing on analyzing the immigration consequences of criminal convictions. Following that she further hone her skills while working with a prominent criminal defense firm where she honed her skills defending both citizens and non-citizens charged with criminal offenses. While at the this firm Amber was instrumental in started starting up an immigration practice, thus further increasing her knowledge and experience in the immigration arena as well.
Armed with 5 years of experience, Amber was inspired to open Fuhriman Law, with a focus on criminal defense and Immigration law.
In the criminal defense arena, Amber represents both citizen and non-citizen defendants alike, throughout Clark County. In the immigration arena, Amber focuses on family based immigration, citizenship, removal defense and visa’s for victims of crimes.
Amber is licensed to practice law at both state and federal court levels in the State of Nevada, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
Amber earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Idaho State University. When she is not working, Amber enjoys dancing, obstacle course racing, and camping/hiking with her
German Shepherd, Bailey.
