New Fellowship in Orthopedics is Available
Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center Adult Reconstruction advances surgical careers.
(Las Vegas) Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center Adult Reconstruction Fellowship has been developed to advance the training for surgeons planning on a career of practicing outside of an academic setting.
The faculty includes Ronald Hillock MD, Chair and Program Director, Attending Surgeon Arthroplasty and Limb Salvage; Edward Ashman MD, Attending Surgeon Sports Medicine and Shoulder Arthroplasty; and Mark Allen DO, Attending Surgeon Arthroplasty.
This fellowship has been set up in a busy community-based orthopedic surgery practice with the faculty operating out of community hospitals. The combined caseload of the faculty, to which the fellow will have access to participate and train, exceeds 3000 cases per year. The faculty will draw the casework from the community in which they practice and referrals from peers.
The fellow will receive an annual salary of $65,000 with full benefits and malpractice insurance for the fellow will be provided. The option for additional compensation is available for additional general orthopedic call coverage.
Applicants are required to submit a copy of their most recent CV and a personal statement. References will be required from the training faculty of the fellow’s prior residency. Other pre-requisite requirements for applicants include a Completion of an Accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency with Program Chair Letter of Recommendation. Training must be completed prior to August 1, 2021. Applicants must have board certification or be board eligible, have an unrestricted medical license MD/DO in the state of Nevada for the duration of the program.
