This is the second location, as he also has a Pancho’s in Manhattan Beach. But this Pancho’s definitely does not disappoint. He has created a spectacular establishment that highlights so many cultural elements including historical antiquities, furniture, paintings, stained glass windows and Tiffany style hanging chandeliers. The plant life and floral décor create a beautiful Mexican Hacienda.
Pancho’s also has live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays like the Rock n Roll Band, “The Saints of Las Vegas.” Performances are followed with dancing. If you are looking for a more intimate experience, Pancho’s has private rooms and other restaurant space that can be reserved for nearly any occasion! If you are looking for a space for rehearsal dinner, corporate event, anniversary or birthday. For these events, Pancho’s offers special menus and customized buffets.
The history of Pancho’s is it is one of the best known landmarks in Southern California. Mr. Richard Hunt Sampson and his family owned Pancho’s and the adjacent properties from 1945 until May of 1976, when they sold the properties to Ab Lawrence.
The Pancho’s Owner has always been a sports fan and was even a football player at Princeton. This passion transformed to his business ownership of Sports Sales Specialists and holding the exclusive rights to the L.A. Kings and Lakers for a period of time. In 1977 is when Abbott built Pancho’s, a Mexican restaurant located in Manhattan Beach. The expansive and authentic Mexican menu coupled with delicious hand-made margaritas, the restaurant consistently received praise being voted the “Best of” in many categories and winning over locals.
