Whats The Dish
By Shawn Tempesta
Up and down the northeastern part of the country, you are bound to find a restaurant dedicated to roast beef sandwiches every half-mile. That being said, you’ll be hard-pressed to find
a place in Las Vegas that does a roast beef sandwich right. That is, until East Coast Eats arrived.
East Coast Eats was originally opened in 2010 by the son of a Boston restaurant entrepreneur in the hopes of bringing east coasters a little taste of home. Their “Boston’s Own Roast Beef” is a winner, prepared on your choice of rolls (I suggest the Super Beef on an onion roll). It wouldn’t be a New England-style sub shop without a selection of fresh New England seafood. Flown in fresh from the fishing community of Ipswich, Massachusetts, East Coast Eats offers fried seafood plates including full-belly clams, clam strips, haddock and scallops, all primed for dipping in tartar sauce. You’ll even find those clams put to good use in a delicious, homemade clam chowder.
From pasta, to pizza, to a gut-busting “Steak Bomb” sub that includes onions, roasted peppers and mushrooms, covered with gooey Provolone, East Coast Eats offers a full menu of options. It is certainly worth the trip to Henderson to sink your teeth into what’s cooking at East Coast Eats.
