Sin City, gambling, nightlife, and city lights are the first few thoughts that come to mind when one thinks Las Vegas. Yet this beautiful city is host to an astonishing, cultural, unique festival that brings together thousands of tourists, and locals to the beautiful downtown Las Vegas. Three words. Life Is Beautiful.
This festival, which mixes food, music, motivational speakers, and attractions is a once in a lifetime experience that one will never regret. On its sixth year, the festival is slated for its usual three-day extravaganza starting Friday September 21st – Sunday September 23rd, with headliners such as The Weeknd, Death Cab For Cutie, Odesza, Travis Scott and so much more.
Visit the food trucks to try specialty foods from culinary geniuses, local mom and pops shops, foods that have been inspired by celebrity chefs, and your all-time favorite restaurants. Make sure you stop and get refreshers from places like Fruits and Roots, try that deep fried grilled cheese sandwich and top it off with deserts from the famous Donut Bar. You will not regret your decisions.
As you’re walking through the 18 blocks of joyous crowds, and old school Vegas hotels, be sure to stop and admire the art and murals that have been painted on the walls by past collaborators like Dface and Morag Myerscough; and the props that will blow you away by collaborators like controversial street artist Banksy. Last but certainly not least, don’t forget to swing by the one and only Art Motel, by Meow Wolf, which was once a vacant motel, and now has transformed to exquisite pieces of art during these three days! When it comes to the art in the heart of downtown, nothings is as it seems.
The festival also brings in special guest speakers who have previously enlightened the crowd such as Bill Nye the Science Guy, who has attended the festival on a number of occasions, and Lizzie Velaquez spoke to the crowd and who is an antibullying activist.
Whether you’re at Life Is Beautiful for the unimaginable art, to watch your favorite headliners take the stage with utter bliss and liveliness, or to try the diverse and delectable food, these are three days that will fill your life with a one of a kind experience.
Tickets are on sale at lifeisbeautiful.com. So bring your family, bring your friends, make a new friend, and experience the enthusiasm in the crowds, because it is as Life Is Beautiful says “A world in which music and art transform, positivity prevails, imagination overwhelms and creativity thrives.”
