National Doctors Day

Today is National Doctors Day! National Doctors Day was first observed on March 30, 1933 by Eudora Brown Almond to honor physicians. They supported not only the physicians on earth, but the deceased physicians as well. The community would place the red carnation, the symbolic flower for National Doctors Day, on the graves of deceased doctors. On February 21, 1991, President George H.W. Bush proclaimed National Doctors Day to honor the Nation’s physicians for their dedication and leadership. Be sure to give a special thanks today to all of your doctor friends and family for their hard work and dedication.
