The Hazards of Milk
By Meghan Leigh
Recently, there has been quite a stir around the subject of milk. For years, we have been programmed to believe that “it does a body good” and we need milk for healthy bones and teeth etc. But it seems that this could possibly be far from the truth. No matter what anyone says, there is no way blood , pus, urine, growth hormone or sanitized fecal matter has ever done any bodies any good! “The Human Body has no more need for cow’s milk than it does for dog’s milk, horse’s milk, or giraffe’s milk”, claims Michael Klaper, M.D. Relatedly, in an article printed in Organic Health and Beauty, Dr. John McDougall says milk can pose these potential health risks: “Gastrointestinal canker sores, vomiting, colic, stomach cramps, abdominal distention, intestinal obstruction, bloody stools, colitis, malabsorption, loss of appetite, growth
retardation, diarrhea, constipation, painful defecation, irritation of tongue, lips, and mouth, respiratory/nasal stuffiness, runny nose, Otitis media (inner ear trouble), sinusitis, asthma, pulmonary infiltrates, skin rashes, atopic dermatitis, eczema, seborrhea and hives.” Pasteurized milk has now been shown to be contaminated with pus, feces and blood- that’s 150 times more contaminated than fresh milk. Yes, there is fecal matter in dairy milk. Yes, you’re drinking that when you chose to drink milk instead of healthy alternatives. Even ice cream and other diary treats contain these unhealthy remnants. When searching for
alternatives to dairy milk, try almond milk. It tastes amazing, and is healthy and full of calcium and protein. Coconut milk is another healthy option. Make sure to do your research before committing to a dairy
milk alternative, and choose something that is healthy and right for your body. Organic Health and Beauty also goes on to say, “…Due to the high protein content of milk, there is a net loss of calcium in the body when consumed. Even studies paid for by the National Dairy Council have shown that the excessive protein in milk lowers blood calcium levels, causing the body to draw on calcium from the bones…” That is a scary thought. Stay healthy my friends!
